When we were out looking for baby gear and a couple checking out stuff near us said they bought a car seat from Craig's List, Matt and I both managed to hide our disapproval from them but noted to each other later that that was the one thing we would not buy used. Just because the seller *should* know not to re-sell an item that has been in an accident and therefore could be less-than-safe doesn't mean that the seller *actually* knows that (or that the seller actually cares what happens to someone else's kid).
