Posted by Matt Bruce at January 2, 2008 10:10 AMI dont think you are quite accurate; I think it is more of a fluke than anything else. Almost none of these guys played for a bad team that was constantly playing catchup. They just haven't managed to get over the hump.
Note that the opposite (rushing champions often win Super Bowls) isn't true; it has only happened four times, and three of those were by the same man.
