Count the Gratuitous Efforts to Hit Personal Milestones

I count at least three, two of them mentioned in the same sentence. I realize that at this point LAA is just playing at the string but for heaven's sake: Doesn't it at least cheapen those milestones when you manipulate how you play the game just to reach them? (Joe Sheehan had a fine column saying ths same thing about two weeks ago. I wonder if I'll hit Baseball Prospectus day and find him in full dander again.)
