The U$C Trifecta

Just had my first fantasy football draft of 2006. You can guess who three of my picks were from the subject line.

This is odd in that U$C is arguably my least favorite football team -- and I don't even follow college football.

Full draft results for posterity...

Note that I have yet to look at any sort of cheat sheet. This was the first year in my memory that I completely winged it, going by nothing more than some combination of ESPN's rankings and my judgment.

Keeper league, so some inflation did result. Ten teams, 20 rounds. Teams start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR/TE, 3 IDP (DL, LB, DB), and 1 K. Note that with this structure tight ends are significantly less valuable than in most leagues. Kept players are bolded. These picks are the 8th overall, 13th, 28th, 33rd, etc.

1. Brian Westbrook RB-PHI
2. Reggie Bush RB-NO (greeted with some derision as a major reach at 13th)

5. Joe Horn WR-NO
6. Michael Vick QB-ATL
7. Keenan McCardell WR-SD
8. Brandon Lloyd WR-WAS
