Maybe some misguided math people thought of it that way, but when they say March 14 what they really mean is 22 July.
Posted by Matt Bruce at March 16, 2006 04:11 PMEinstein was born on July 22?
Posted by: David at March 16, 2006 10:15 PM22/7 might be a better approximation, but it requires writing the date European-style. Which I hope we can all agree is an abomination. That's why I'm willing to settle for 3/14.
Posted by: Paul at March 16, 2006 10:39 PMEuropean-style dates are definitely an abomination, since they're contrary to the way we write all numbers (higher order digits on the left). Of course, the American format month-day-year is kind of lame too, as the sensible way to write dates is year-month-day.
Posted by: David at March 16, 2006 11:21 PMAhh, see I thought you were talking about honoring 227. That show was great.
Posted by: John at March 18, 2006 09:42 PMOn an episode of Celebrity Fit Club, Jackee went on a date with an "actor." I looked him up, and sure enough he'd done an episode of 227.
