"See Homer Run" (as rebroadcast tonight) is infuriatingly bad.
(About the 12th most annoying thing about it: Only two years late on the recall election satire. Hmm, where is Gray Davis these days?)
That said, if "Nanny 911" is a fair representation of replacement-level prime time television then The Simpsons remains above replacement level. (My sinking suspicion, as someone who watches little TV, is that "Nanny 911" is itself well above replacement level.)

There's not that much difference from family to family to make it worth watching regularly. OTOH, given how some of these kids act, the show is kind of an early warning system for the rest of us.
