Note that the post title refers to 18, not 16. Why put 18 items into a runoff when 16 is such a round number? Well, if you watch a particular game show, you know that 18 is also a nice round number if you take things three at a time. Also, I like having a safety valve to avoid snubbing anything that obviously belongs here.
Your mission should you choose to comment here is to name the two worst episodes not on the list above. My tentative sens is that those are "A Star is Born-Again" and "Bart Carny," but I could be overlooking a true stinker. As with the top 18 (see the post below), I'd love to see discussion and even argument.

Posted by: Myron at November 21, 2005 08:00 PMI'd go with "Bart of War" and the one where they go to Africa. I actually have a fondness for the Sherrie Bobbins episode, but I think I like the musical episodes more than most of the folks who are regulars in this process.
(That and my sister once played Mary Poppins in a school play. Not that I wanted her to get sucked through a jet engine, just mentioning it for whatever connection there may be.)
